The temperatures you saw were all with the factory fan curve and very very respectable, and even with a 2088 overclock the you didnt see any additional heat from the VRM because the VRM fan is speeding up to keep that temp down.

EVGA did have some FLIR cameras there for actual visual reference of thermal load, they had an FTW card next to an FTW2 card running the same frequency, same test, and you could see visually the FTW2 cards are staying cooler.
